World Read Aloud Day

World Read Aloud Day {WRAD} is an exciting, interactive day where everyone all over the world reads aloud to promote education and access to books and technology. This year it is on Thursday, February 17, 2017.

There are such fun ways to get involved online. In fact, technology allows this day to go worldwide. It’s amazing how easy it is to connect with a classroom from another country with the internet.

“World Read Aloud Day is about taking action to show the world that the right to read and write belongs to all people. World Read Aloud Day motivates children, teens, and adults worldwide to celebrate the power of words, especially those words that are shared from one person to another, and creates a community of readers advocating for every child’s right to a safe education and access to books and technology.”              ~from LitWorld.org

Here are some resources you can use to share WRAD with others across the globe.
